Getting SQL Access ManagerSQL error

Our DBA changed the access password for all our development databases over the weekend. We are getting this error sporadically on all of them. Sometimes we get the error at login, sometimes we get the error at some point later after login when saving data on a page. When we bounce the App and Web Servers the issue goes away, but only temporarily. We are on PT 8.53.24. Any ideas?
