Physical Server for PUM

We are also planning an upgrade to our 9.1 Environment.While i understand Oracle has made PUM the only way to apply patches in 9.2 if budget is a constraint for procuring a new server can we not just do with a 64-bit  Physical Windows 7 OS with 8-10 gb of memory and 100-200g of Hardisk

to host

1)An upgrade Demo image -Source of Initial Move  or SI(Which has all the Required for Upgrade Patches)

and

2) A new instance of 9.2 just for demonstration purposes. PI

If the box turns out to be an issue resource wise i will plan to shift the Install demo to our classical way of installation while maintain the upgrade Demo image -Source of Initial Move i(Which has all the Required for Upgrade Patches) In the Windows 7 host till the upgrade is complete(6-8 months)
