How to use device monitoring in EOM

Hello,

I'm new to Enterprise Operations Monitor. I'm running version 3.3.90.0.0. I have currently only one SBC with the embedded probe configured. This works fine, the calls are properly logged.

I configured some platform devices and enabled the device monitoring. However EOM always says "Monitoring status: ok" under Operations - Devices even if the device is no more reachable. The corresponding session-agent appears down on the SBC, which is correct.

Why is this not working? How does EOM do the monitoring?
