Are custom web profiles supposed to be lost in a PT 8.54 > 8.55 upgrade?

We upgraded our 1st Hub database from 8.54.09 to 8.55.01.  After the upgrade, our custom web profiles were no longer in the database.  Realizing the profile has changed (new tab for CORS Authorized Sites), is the upgrade process simply delivering new versions of the default profiles and clearing all custom ones...i.e., is this as designed?  Or did we miss something we should have or should not have done?
