Impact of Bug 20501663 on bank reconciliation process

Hi Team,

We are currently on PeopleSoft 9.2 image 11 version. we are currently facing issue due to bank reconciliation process where amounts are not getting reconciled. After applying patch for  bug id 20501663 they are getting reconciled.

But would like to know why this change has been brought in . in 9.1 I guess all amount were used to be in positive and reconciliation process was able to reconcile them.

Can you please share some information towards changes.
