delete after print

I'm comparing FMIS 9 against FMIS 9.2. I notice that under Accounts Receivable > Customer Interactions > Statements > Print Statements there is now a check box to 'Delete After Print'.

I know that sounds really obvious but would like to understand exactly what is being deleted if you check this since this seems to be a new feature.
