ORA-00020: maximum number of processes (1000) exceeded error when ARCHIVELOG diskgroup is filled

Hi Team,

I'm getting the below error while connecting to the one of our TEST database:

ORA-00020: maximum number of processes (1000) exceeded

When checked the ARCHIVELOG diskgroup was filled up.

Can you help me to understand this concept why max process error comes in this case.

Are there any connections from ASM coming to the database or how is it.
