SQR created PDF reports, custom fonts and Mac/Apple Email Preview

We have an issue with one of our offices that uses a custom font on all customer facing documents.  Everything looks great when opening PDF files as far as the custom font whether internally or from the customer's perspective; however, when anyone, including our customers, view the PDFs through a Apple Mac email preview, all text in the custom font are gone, leaving only logos, graphics and other images.  They can only see the custom text by opening the file up in Adobe.  It is my understanding that the custom fonts get embedded in the PDF file and should be
