Peoplesoft 8.54 on sql server 2008R2

Hi All,

I am going to install Peopletools 8.54 and peoplesoft HCM 9.2. As we know, peopletools 8.54 are certified with SQL Server 2012 and 2014.

But I have facing some question about database version, because my client already have database 2008 R2. they ask me "why sql server 2008 R2 is not certified for peopletools 8.54? is there any issue if we using SQL Server 2008 R2?".

I really appreciate if anyone can help answer these questions
