How to set HTTP Response Code on REST service response message dynamically?

Hi,

I have developed a REST based web service in PeopleSoft. We are in PeopleTools 8.53 and 9.0 application. On the sevice operation response message configuration section I see a setting to set default response code. Could you please let me know how can we change this default value at run time conditionally? It is returning status code 200 (default value set) even though the response contains some error messages/non existent data search. Any inputs is greatly appreciated.
