Peopletools Upgrade only - 8.53 to 8.55

We are in the process of upgrading our tools from 8.53(9.2) to 8.55(9.2)(SQL Server database). We are running into serious SQR performance issues. A process that runs in 5 min is taking 24hrs to run in 8.55. Has anyone encountered these issues? Do you have any ideas on what might be causing this issue?
