POST_HIRE_REQUEST Authorization Error

We recently applied bundles 8-20 in our HCM 9.1 production environment and, at the same time, upgraded PT from 8.51 to 8.53. Since doing so, our POST_HIRE_REQUEST service operation has been failing randomly with the message "The user is not authorized to access this object" We haven't been able to identify a pattern or find a security issue. We have tried the solution recommended in Doc ID 2056884.1, but that did not do the trick. Any ideas?
