Can we use partial rfersh in an applet based on VBC?

Hi,

We have multiple Applets in a view. 2 of the applets are fetching information from an external application using VBC.

There's be some delay while fetching data from an external application in these 2 applets. However if we use partial refresh using pm / pr files for these applets, can we continue loading and using the other applets in the view while these applets are refreshed in the background?

The expectation is to have a user experience where in the application should not hang while data is fetched from external application in some applets in the entire view.

Please suggest.
