How to stop Dunning Letters from being sent to Customers?

We use Oracle EBS R12.1.3 and Advanced Collections.  We use Collection Strategies (not Dunning Plans). Currently, three levels od Dunning letters are set up. However, there is some issue with the content and the data that is getting printed and sent out to customers. So, we want to stop dunning letters till we are able to resolve the issues.

Based on the configuration, it looks like we can pick the appropriate Work items and disable those. I want to know if that is the right aproach and if there is any implication when we turn these letters on in future.
