Backing Up the New Release Demo Database - HCM16 Upgrade

Hi,

During the HCM 9.2 Upgrade, instructions are to Backup the New Release Demo database.  Unless I missed them somewhere, there seem to be no scripts nor instructions provided.  Let me state that I am NOT an Oracle DBA but I do own the PUM environments.

Specifically what do we need to do to backup (and then later restore in step 6-20) the New Release Demo database?

My virtualization engineer says that since this is an appliance, we can only do VM backups/restores.  That doesn't seem right to me...

Please help.
