PeopleTools 8.55 - Deleting the original extract folder for the VM Image Installation

Is it okay to get rid of the PUM image extract/download folder originally used for creating the VM image, after the VM image installation is completed? When I renamed that folder (just to check) and tried to start my VM image again, the VM manager threw this error but it appears that the VM image (HCM 9.2 PUM 17) started up okay. It seems like a waste of approx 30 GB to carry this folder forward! Just want to be sure before I go and delete it.     


Error:

The shared folder 'HCM_PUM_017' could not be set up: Shared folder path 'C:\Users\~~~~~~~~\Documents\PUM_Images\HCM_PUM_017' does not exist on the host.
