Native OS Windows app server won't boot

I am trying to implement the Native OS Windows version of CS92 upgrade image 1.  I followed the DPK instructions all the logs show successful installs.  Though I can log into CS92UPG0 using application designer, the browser log in page indicates that the app server is down.  I tried modifying the config, but the app server still won't boot.  The appsrv_MMDD.log has a row indicating "GetMessageBox(0,0,M):  Database signon:  Invalid access ID or password for database signon... Server failed to start".  Has anyone seen this behavior before and can provide some guidance to troubleshoot?  Thank you.
