nVision requirement for 64bit Excel - Oracle please provide recommendations!

Our senior architects are in disbelief that a company as big as Oracle can take one of their products that people are using on their desktops and require 64bit Excel.  In a large organization with many users and other software requirements, it is nearly impossible to put the 64bit Excel on the client machine. Yes - nVision is becoming a thorn in my side with this 9.2/8.55 upgrade.  I think Oracle needs to produce a Red/White paper on what companies should be doing to address this issue.

Questions I am getting:  Are you absolutely sure that Excel 32bit is not supported?  Can they provide a 32 bit solution anyway?
