Application Performance Issues Related to Workflow Mailer

All of the sudden today we got horribly slow response times from the application. Forms/OA HTML pages. Basically, the system is unusable. We found by Stopping the Workflow Mailer Service container, the app returns to normal. We cannot figure out what is causing this issue and I have been searching all day for some kind of answer. We have an SR with Oracle but was hoping someone out there had the same issue we are experiencing. I have followed best practice guides for setting up the workflow mailer (we recently as of about 5 months ago started using Absence Management
