MAddattachment? Anyone?

I see this feature (multiple file upload/MAddattachment) documented, but am getting an error trying to use it (it doesn't like the parameters I am passing, even though they are the right type).  I don't see any instances of its use in PI17 HCM.  Has anyone ever used this function successfully?  I am on 8.55 tools, if it matters.
