Code on physical renderer and presentation model

I am looking for js code to be written on PM and PR (in javascript  file)

Trying to highlight a requreid field when the record is saved. Can I use AddMethod or AttachEventHandler. I have been struggling with the appropriate steps.Can someone please provide me a sample of code,
