CENVAT CLAIM ISSUE

We have some receipts in the system for which we are unable to claim VAT and CENVAT. Items are already assigned to exisable 'Y' and Modvatable as 'Y'. But still on finding the receipt in Claim CENVAT form it is showing as invalid receipt number.

Claim Cenvat on receipt is ticked. How can the CENVAT can be claimed.
