What are Application Homepages and how to use?

We are currently on PeopleTools 8.55 and I am looking everywhere for more information on Application Homepages introduced in 8.55. Below is what I found on the PeopleSoft Fluid Navigation Standards White Paper (Doc ID 2063602.1) on MOS Pages 23-25. We are looking to do this same thing. Navigation to the Application Homepage from a homepage title but not sure how to go about this. Can anyone please provide direction or reference document on how to use?
