Migrating App and Batch to Windows from Linux

We are currently performing a PeopleTools only upgrade from 8.52 to 8.55 on FSCM/HCM 9.1. At the same time we are transitioning to an all Windows server environment (web, app, and batch). Currently we have Linux application servers and Linux batch servers. Can I simply copy the appropriate 9.1 application directories/files into the new PeopleTools 855 home on the windows app and batch servers (i.e. src, MAINT, data, sqr, etc)?  Or is it suggested that I perform a completely new install of the 9.1 application in the new PeopleTools 855 homes?
