Test MTP - COP Database

Hi,

A little Background: We are upgrading HCM from 8.52/9.1 to 8.55/9.2 (HCM Upgrade Source Image 16).

- Initial Pass is complete

- COP database has been backed up (we call it GOLD)

- HCM Update Image 17 has been applied to COP

- PI17 Updated COP environment has been handed over to the business for early/initial testing

We are now planning a Test MTP.  We are aware that our GOLD backup needs to be restored back into COP for the MTP pass but we want the business to continue testing in the PI17 Updated instance.

Can we create an alternate database to restore the GOLD backup into and use that as source input to our Test MTP pass?  I'm concerned that I may need to use a PIA to access the alternate database; hoping we just simply set it up in Change Assistant as our source for the MTP and not need a PIA instance setup around it.
