Standard Journals Longer than 999 days

In PeopleSoft 9.2, image 11.

I am creating a standard journal through Define standard journals.

I chose SJE Type Recurring on a schedule, schedule BOM

I put from date 01/01/16 and to date 01/01/21 and I put the maximum lead days of 999.

The problem is that journals only get created for the 999 day timeframe rather than the period using my from and to dates.

Is this how the system is designed to work or is there another way to put in journals for a timeframe longer than 999 days?
