Changing Legal Entity, Operating Unit, Business Group related to Procurement Contracts & other Suppl

We have a full suite of R12.1.3 EBS applications installed (HR, Payroll, Financials, Projects, Inventory, iProc, Sourcing, Core Contracts, Purchasing, etc.) and soon will be changing our company name. I have some concerns of updating the name of the Legal Entity,Operating Unit and Business Group, tied to all of the organizations and inventory orgs and, the impact it may have, especially related to Procurement Contracts/Purchase Orders. I have found a few documents on the topic of changing the name, but nothing specific to the Procurement Contracts and, some of the discussions seem conflicting (i.e. 833938.1, 1465080.1). One documents appears to make it as simple as changing the name while another indicates the LE should be disabled. We have HR, Payroll, Financials,
