Unable to Sync password from OIM to OUD with LDAPSync

I have created a new DN as uid=xxxxxxx,cn=Contractors,cn=oracleAccounts,dc=beav,dc=com in OUD and I am able to sync  users from OIM to OUD as soon as user is created in OIM. But I am NOT able to sync password from OIM to OUD for this DN. Password Sync is working if I create the DN as  uid=xxxxxxxx,cn=Contractors,cn=Users,cn=oracleAccounts,dc=beav,dc=com, not for the other. Please let me know the reason why password sync is not working and what should I do to resolve the issue. My customer suggesting to create users under the DN : cn=Contractors,cn=oracleAccounts,dc=beav,dc=com only.
