IEX: Strategy Custom Work Flow IEXSTRCM

Hi,

We have to send notifications to the customer contacts from work items. We have to attach a copy of Final Invoice and credit card authorization form along with notification for the delinquent & PRE delinquent Customer transactions. One approach was to create a concurrent program and build entire logic there & other was to look at IEX: Strategy Custom Work Flow IEXSTRCM.

Any one performed customization to IEX: Strategy Custom Work Flow IEXSTRCM workflow? My BA suggested customizing IEX: Strategy Custom Work Flow IEXSTRCM is an outdated approach & will break standard functionality. It would help if any oracle customers are using this custom workflow functionality.
