Java 1.8 certification with PeopleTools 8.55?

Is Java 1.8 going to be certified with PeopleTools 8.55 at all? If not, does anyone know when is Java 1.8 going to be certified with what version of PeopleTools. We are on FSCM 9.2/Tools 8.54.14 running on Oracle 11g (11.2.0.4) on Windows 2012 R2 64(bit)
