retrofit in access policy

Hi,

I have a scenario mentioned below please answer if anybody knows.

I created a access policy say 'A' with Role x.

Any changes that I am doing on access policy will affect the existing users if the retrofit options is selected.

My question is :  If I am doing any changes only in the Role x will it affect the existing users if the  retrofit option is selected. But I am not doing any changes in the access policy.
