Disable Carry ID, or clear Carry ID value, within a Workcenter

Workcenter has two queries, where the EMPLID is a link that loads a page. If the user has Carry ID enabled then when clicking on a different EMPLID it does not load that one, the system carries over the previous ID. Clearing the search values and clicking the new EMPLID link still loads the previous. Is there a way within the pagelet setup for the query to code into the link logic for the carry ID value to be cleared, or reset to null?
