posupld.pc - returns - what is expected output in tran_data ?

I am running some tests on customer returns, where in the POSU file, we have defined the return as (a) Sale or Return = "R" and (b) Sale Sign = "P" (positive)

This is how MOS Note 2007297.1 says it should be (although it does say the doc applies to 14.1 or later , and we are on v12)

What we are finding in TRAN_DATA is that it is creating a negative tran code 1 AND a positive tran code 4.

My understanding is that it should NOT create any tran code 1 for a return, only for sales.

What is the correct output in tran_data that I should see if working - as - designed ? Am I encountering a bug ?
