OVD Administrator Authentication

I'm implementing Active Directory logon with OVD, following this note: How To Configure / Create / Setup Multiple Administrators (More Than One Superadmin / Superuser Like cn=orcladmin) In OVD 11g For ODSM (Doc ID 1340236.1)

I'd like to be able to let the admin's logon without having to enter their full DN it's very long... example... CN=My\, Username, OU=admin,OU=accounts,dc=org,dc=gov. That's way too much to type in for a logon.(although it does work) I'd like to be able to just use sAMAccount name. I've tried the UPNBind plug-in (4.2.4 UPNBind Plug-In in the OVD Admin Manual), it doesn't seem to work...I'm wondering if this is because I'm using the pass-through mode (for Bind Only) in the adapter.
