What is possibility of item not integrated in POS

in Retail Merchandising System (MOSC) Question

Hi,

We  have a issue, in that we notice some of the items which ranged to particular store but its not available in POS. As per my knowledge, possibility is :

1. Item didn't flow to POS via item file to POS. When it was ranged. (How to verify?)

2. Item flows to POS but some how it is deleted from POS.

Could someone explain in details what is the possibility of above scenario. And what is causing this issue?
