Avoid notification close after clicking on OK button

Hello All,

We understand that standard functionality of workflow notifications is such that if we open FYI or RESPOND notification and hit button's say OK button, notification gets closed automatically.

Is there a way to avoid notification close after clicking on OK or say any other button? Be it FYI or RESPOND notifications, we would like to close them programatically, rather than automatically.
