"Migrated" (instead of installed) OESCLIENT SM Software - Should this work?
Hi,
We have one environment where we want to install an OES Java SM, but where the machine (Redhat) does not have any GUI and all of the "X" windows components have been removed as part of the security hardening. It seems that to "install" the OES Client software, the runInstaller requires a GUI, so we cannot run runInstaller.
So, in the past, in my test environments, I've been able to get around this problem by:
1) Install the OES Client software on on system normally, to /apps/Oracle/OESCLIENT then
2) ZIP up the entire OESCLIENT directory and copy that ZIP file to the system that doesn't have a GUI then
