9.2 Pre-upgrade task question regarding resolving Match Exceptions

In the FSCM_9.0_to_9.2_through_Update_Image_11_Upgrade.pdf, page 71,  it stated, "Note:  Match Rule Exceptions must be resolved before running data conversions." We are interested to know how other companies handled this situation for pre-upgrade and Go_Live. Thank you.
