Cannot Ping 3rd Party node when Gateway is configured as non default gateway

in PeopleTools and Lifecycle Management - PSFT (MOSC)

Currently,  My PS Application  is defined  with a secure Local Default Gateway.  In addition, I have configured External Nodes for 3rd party integration.  The External Nodes are pingable, and I'm able to send and receive messages using Http target connector  without any issues. My local gateway is define below

Gateway ID:  LOCAL

https://abc.com/PSIGW/PeopleSoftListeningConnector 

I want to change my setup by creating a new gateway that's un-secure and making it my New Local gateway, and make my secure gateway the remove gateway now.

Gateway ID:  LOCAL

http://xmz.com/PSIGW/PeopleSoftListeningConnector 

Remote ID:  REMOTE

Gateway ID:  LOCAL
