Urgent! Issues with running nVision in 2 tier mode using MS Excel 32 bit for PeopleTools 8.54

Hello Experts-

We have got a critical issue in peopletools project wherein
we are upgrading tools from 8.53 to 8.54.

Issue:

Peopletools 8.54 doesn’t support excel 32 bit for running
nVision in 2tier mode, it only works with 64 bit excel which has to be
installed in client workstations. However, client cannot upgrade ms
excel/office to 64 bit due to their internal policy and there are no plans to
upgrade in the long term.

Because of this issue, we are not able to upgrade to
8.54.

We are now looking at VM/citrix  solutions, wherein 64
bit excel and peopletools 8.54 will be installed on the server and users will
