Will there be any issues with the HCM 9.2 Upgrade Image database being Oracle 12c when we upgrade ou

I am getting ready to install the HCM 9.2.002 upgrade image DPK and see in the manifest that the database is Oracle Server 12c 12.1.0.2. The databases we will be upgrading are Oracle Enterprise RAC 11.2.0.4. Will there be any issues with these differences? Are we required to upgrade our database version before starting the application upgrade? We usually like to keep these upgrades separated.
