Adding working sheets in journal spread sheet upload template

Currently  GL users are using  multiple excel sheets to copy legacy source data and make various edits and translations and copy their final data into PeopleSoft spread sheet upload template.

Instead, they are looking for macro enabled multiple working sheets in delivered Template so that they can past the source data, validate and translate the legacy CF values into PeopleSoft  CF values

and copying the final data into delivered template sheet for PeopleSoft GL posting.

Questions,

1) Can we or anyone customized  the PeopleSoft delivered journal spread sheet upload  template with custom macro and VB scripts ?

2) How complex it is writing custom macros and VB validations to connect the PeopleSoft to validate legacy data with PeopleSoft CF values
