OIM 11.1.2.3.5: What is the purpose of Oracle Policy Manager Managed Servers (wls_ama) ?

Hi Experts,

Please advise.

I had OIM 11.1.2.2.0 LCM and then I upgraded to 11.1.2.3.0 LCM.

Topology : OIM-OAM-OUD

The upgrade introduced new managed servers one of which is OAM_POLICY_MANAGER (wls_ama)

Can you please help and advise as what is the purpose of this managed server?

Is it necessary to run it when Mobile Integration is disabled ?
