PSPET - PeopleSoft Encryption Technology PGP with Unicode

Hi,

We are using PeopleTools 8.52, and have been using the PS Encryption Profile to do encryption of banking files for several releases, going back at least to 8.48.   Until now, the files we have been encrypting have only used characters that are in the ASCII set.  We would now like to use the PGP encryption with our Japan and China files, which contain Chinese and Japanese characters that are saved in Unicode, and Shift-JIS encoding.  These cause the delivered Encryption Algorithm Chain to break on the PSUnicodeToAscii step.  I expect this is because there isn't a character mapping.  Eliminating that
