Can we get Kibana to work with the PeopleSoft Elasticsearch plugins?

The PeopleSoft-delivered version of Elasticsearch doesn't work with Kibana. We'd like to use Kibana with our Elasticsearch instance to do some visualizations and queries with the data inside Elasticsearch. Is there some configuration we can change (either in Kibana or the security plug-ins) so that Kibana will run?
