1099 Questions

in Financial Management - PSFT (MOSC)

Hello,

I am currently working helping them to process their 2016 1099. They are currently on v9.2. Here are my questions:

1. What is the difference between Basis Amount and Original Basis Amount in PS_WTHD_TRXN_TBL? Based on what I have observed, the amount match most of the time but we do have few cases where they are not matching and few more where Basis is showing zero but Original Basis is showing amount. I believe Copy B cares for Basis Amount only. Please confirm!

2. We have some legacy transactions added to the table with comments etc., When we run WH supplier update, these comments get wiped out with generic message 'Withhold Update'. Any idea why system is replacing comments we entered for legacy though that vendor had transactions in AP which should have been updated excluding the legacy.
