LDAP switch (primary to standby)

Hi All,

As part of Database patching activity on primary DB instances we performed DB switchover (primary to standby) to avoid application downtime. But due to LDAP switch from primary to standby during patch we had impact at application level (connectivity lost).

Application end we use LDAP entry to connect with DB.

Please can someone tell me why this LDAP switch impacted application connectivity? In case of LDAP switch do we need to tune application JDBC URL?
