PeopleTools 8.55 Database OS certification

Currently we are on PeopleTools 8.54.10 and looking to
upgrade to PeopleTools 8.55.X.  Our
Oracle database 11.2.0.4.0 currently is on a windows 2008 R2 server. From the
certifications, it appears that for PeopleTools 8.55 for our Oracle database
version the database OS server is only certified on a windows 2012 or windows
2012 R2 version.  Our company is
currently looking at possibly migrating our databases to Linux so at this time
do not want to upgrade the database OS.  What
impact will we have if we upgrade PeopleTools 8.55 and leave the database OS on
windows 2008 R2 server.
