DIMP file fails to process at ORPOS Item’s length greater than 14 character long

in Retail Merchandising System (MOSC) Question

Hi All,

ORA-12899: value too large for column "POSBO"."AS_ITM_RTL_STR"."ID_ITM"

POS System does not accept Item’s length greater than 14 character long. Because of this limitation POS (all Stores) failed to Process MOM-JAR (Items updates) last night.

Here is the Item # ABCDEFGHIJKLMNO that caused the failed.

How we can prevent enter end-users Itemsmore then 14 character long?
