VMWare ECB HA configuration, virtual MAC address issue

the security settings on our vSwitches don't allow the ECB VMs to overwrite the assigned MAC address (by VMWare) with the generated virtual MAC for the HA configuration.

Is there a documentation available which clearly states which settings on the vSwitch need to be done in order for ECB HA to work?
